About
Historic Venue 1902

Welcome to Historic Venue 1902, a family-owned wedding venue located in Sanford, Florida. Once a century-old grammar school, the building has been thoughtfully restored into a space where history, design, and celebration come together.
Our approach is simple: create weddings that feel personal, relaxed, and well cared for. From the moment couples step inside, we want the space to feel welcoming — a place where meaningful memories are made and enjoyed.

A Historic Schoolhouse
Reimagined
Historic Venue 1902 began with a love for historic buildings and the stories they hold. Lisa and her husband Brady spent years restoring historic homes before discovering the 1902 schoolhouse that would eventually become the venue.
Originally considered for redevelopment, the building inspired a different vision — one that honored its past while giving it new purpose. Original architectural details were preserved wherever possible, allowing the character of the schoolhouse to remain part of every celebration hosted here.

Today, the space blends vintage charm with modern comfort, offering a setting that feels both timeless and inviting.
Meet the
Team
Historic Venue 1902 is guided by a close-knit team who care deeply about the couples who celebrate here. Each person brings a different strength to the venue, from preservation and design to planning, operations, and partnerships — all working together to create an experience that feels welcoming and well supported.

Lisa
Founder & Creative Vision
Lisa’s background in interior design and historic restoration shapes the heart of Venue 1902. Her appreciation for architecture and thoughtful spaces influenced every decision in the schoolhouse’s renovation. She believes a venue should feel beautiful without feeling restrictive, which is why the space was designed to give couples flexibility while maintaining its character.
Her focus is always on creating an atmosphere that feels inviting, balanced, and ready to reflect each couple’s personal style.

Brady
Chief Executive Officer
Brady serves as CEO of Historic Venue 1902, overseeing overall venue management, operations, and long-term growth. After playing a pivotal role in restoring the 1902 schoolhouse, he has stepped into a leadership position focused on strengthening systems, supporting the team, and shaping the venue’s future direction.
His background in historic renovation continues to inform how decisions are made — with care for the building’s integrity and the experience it creates. Brady is also one of the first to greet couples during tours and events, and he genuinely enjoys getting to know the people who choose to celebrate here. For him, growth is never about scale alone — it’s about building something meaningful that lasts.
